Lab 2 : Prescription Exercise for Children and Respiratory Disorders Group 1: Nicki Berfelz, Kathryn Pearson and Sarah Azhadi

Warm Up- “dragon tails tag” The group is evenly divided into two teams Each team is given a different coloured pinny The pinny is to be warn as if it were a tail, with enough slack to be clearly visible and accessible to the opponents There is a jail for each team at opposites corners of the play space Each jail consists of three hoola hoops Once an opponent has stolen your tail, you must take your tail and go to jail and wait in the first hoola – hoop until another team member comes and bumps you up to the next one, and so on until you are bumped out of jail and thus reinstated into play This game is continuous in nature, and is a particularly good warm up for an invasion type activity or game, as it possesses similar strategic qualities.

Exercises and Activities Prescribed Dodgeball Aimed at teaching coordination related to throwing, catching and aiming . Kicking Game Dribbling game involving ball handling and control where participants have to make it from side of the field to the other without letting the opposing members kick the ball away

Dodgeball -Equipment: Three soft indoor soccer balls -Description: The object of the game is to eliminate all opposing players by getting them "OUT". This may be done by: 1. Hitting an opposing player with a LIVE thrown ball below the shoulders. 2. Catching a LIVE ball thrown by your opponent before it touches the ground. -Skills: Throwing Receiving Ball control Coordination

“Double-Dare” Dribbling Drill -Equipment: Soccer balls -Description: Every student but three start out with a ball at one end of the field (attackers). The other three are “defenders” and try and steal the ball away. "Attackers" try to dribble across a square while avoiding "Defenders". If the Attacker's ball is kicked out of bounds, he becomes a Defender. (This is similar to the "Red Rover" or “British Bulldog”.) -Skills: Dribbling Kicking Ball control Coordination
