The World’s Best Fourth Grade Class!

About Ms. Herbert . . . I have been teaching for 15years – all in fourth grade, except one year in fifth I student taught at Hill for Mrs. Cowger. I Grew up on the East Side – East Detroit and Warren. I received my bachelor’s degree from MSU and my master’s from Wayne State I wasn’t always a teacher; I worked in Public Relations for several years before going back to school to be a teacher. I like to spend time with family and friends. I now have 7 nieces and nephews, and two great nephews (of course, I am favorite Aunt Lora!) In my spare time, I like to work out, bike ride, travel and shop at Target 

About Ms. Kijek… I attend Oakland University and am apart of the Education program with a double major in Mathematics and Language Arts. I am also an East-sider from Fraser. I am a middle school and high school swim coach and give private swim lessons in my spare time. Baseball is huge part of my life and I love the Detroit Tigers! I rescued a black lab/mastiff mixed dog 3 years ago who is now 100 pounds and enjoys taking me for walks everyday. I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shopping, crafting and baking.
