Home Next

*Remember* Write your full name on ALL of the sheets to be handed in. Task/Resources        1.  Go to the Website below and follow the directions listed in the Process section. Website: http://www.kidsbank.com/index.asp 2.  Write a paragraph on a piece of paper that tells what you thought of the website you visited and at least two new things you learned about checks and checking accounts. On this same paper, answer the following questions: What mathematical operation do you think you will use most in keeping track of a checking account? Why? What would be a technological tool that would be very useful in helping to keep track of a checking account? Why? 3.  Now hand in your printout and your paragraph sheets to your teacher. *Remember* Write your full name on ALL of the sheets to be handed in.  Home   Back Next

Process          *Note* You will be going through the website in pairs but each person will need to take the quizzes and hand in the print offs and summary paragraphs. 1.  Go to the website given above and click Java Version, then click on Checks.  As you go through the lesson you will see a clipart of a professor, when you see him, click on him to get more information and click the back arrow to go back to the lesson. 2.  When you are done, you will see a sentence that reads: Click Here to test your checking knowledge in the Game Room. Click on the Click Here to go to the Game Room. 3.  Enter your first name and click the blue arrow, go down to Check's the dog's section and click Check's Quiz.  Take the quiz and print the final page showing how you did.  4.  Now click on the Game Room and enter your first name again.  This time, click the Check's Professor Quiz.  Take the quiz and print the final page showing how you did. 5.  Write your full name on both sheets and follow steps 2. and 3. listed in the task section of the webquest. Did not take part and showed little, if any interest. Pair Work Ethic Pair worked well together and worked to resolve any differences in a calm and friendly way. Pair consistently looked to teacher to resolve conflicts and did not work to resolve their own conflicts. Final Product Quiz results showed learning took place, paragraph was written clearly, with good form, showing attention to lesson and questions were answered similarly. Quiz results did not show learning took place.  Paragraph was not written clearly, was without good form, showed that little attention was given to the lesson and questions were answered similarly.
