This evening we will be covering the following topics: Introduction to the Y6 team Expectations Curriculum Homework Behaviour Any questions

Year Group Expectations Primarily we want this to be an enjoyable year for your child and one which builds on the work that has been done by previous year groups. Firm belief that if your child is happy they will perform better. Y6 – obvious pressures Testing Transition to High School Residential Physical and emotional changes

Year Group Expectations We want to make Y6 a unique year for your child Independence is vital Children need to be responsible – bring in their books, homework (record in diaries), correct equipment to lessons Encourage children to ‘think’ for themselves and become more independent

PE is every Friday for both 6D and 6F. Games/Art will be on Tuesday for both classes. Outdoor Games kit and art shirt needed each week. Fitness Friday Appropriate kit Time4Sport – 20 minute high impact session Please ensure that ALL clothing and equipment, including PE kit, is clearly marked with your child’s name. It is helpful for children to keep their kit in school for the week. Take home Thursday afternoon and return on Monday.
