Trapnell as the Keynote Speaker for the 2017 Annual Meeting in Chicago The North American Case Research Association is pleased to welcome Dr. Jerry E. Trapnell as the Keynote Speaker for its Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Trapnell served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation officer of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International from 2004 to 2012, and currently serves as a part -time Special Advisor to AACSB. One area of great interest to NACRA scholars has been the increasing acceptance of case research at AACSB accredited schools. The terms “Published Cases”, “Case Studies” and “Case Studies of Research” have been formally adopted in AACSB’s 2013 Eligibility Procedures and Accreditation Standards for Business Accreditation, including the latest 2017 Revisions. NACRA has invited Dr. Trapnell to speak with our organization about the role of case research at AACSB accredited schools and how it complements the intellectual contributions of scholarly academics and practitioners. Javier Silva Elected to NACRA Executive Committee Javier Silva, a long-time NACRA member and contributor, has been elected to serve as the Vice President - Program Chair for NACRA’s 2018 Annual Meeting. Dr. Silva, an Associate Professor of Marketing, has worked at IAE Business School in Argentina since 1998. Silva has also served as a Visiting Professor for a number of business schools such as IESE (Spain), AESE (Portugal), and INALDE (Colombia).  Dr. Silva has served as a Track Chair in Marketing at NACRA since 2013. An award winning case author, Silva was awarded the prestigious Curtis Tate Award in 2007 for the Best Case Published in the Case Research Journal. He has served on the Editorial Board of the Case Research Journal since 2015. A growing number of NACRA members work and conduct case research in locations other than North America. Thus, Silva’s election to the Executive Committee reflects the increasingly global nature of the NACRA organization.
