What is Track & Field? Track and Field is a sport that combines various different competitions based on your strengths and skills. Track and field includes various different types of events such as running, jumping and throwing. Track and Field is sport that is played outside in the field with many other competitors.
Why I like track and field? Track and field interests me because it’s a great way to exercise and keep you healthy. Track and field challenges me to do the best of my ability and keep trying rather than stop and don’t try at all. Track and Field has many different events going on and it allows me to pick which category I’d excel at most. Another reason why I take interest in Track and Field is because it has tremendously improved my running skills.
Benefits Running is an effective way to increase your cardiovascular fitness, and lose weight. Running track boosts up your competition and encourages you to improve your running ability while strengthen teamwork. A healthy diet allows you to perform to the best of your abilities, so when you are running track you will have a more healthy diet. Running improves your cardiovascular fitness, as well as decrease your risk of a stroke or heart attack.
What it involves? Running Events Include: Sprints (100m, 200m, 400m) Middle distance (800m, 1500m) Long Distance (3000m Steeplechase, 5000m, and 10,000m) Hurdles (110/100m, 4 x 400m) Relays (4 x 100m, 4 x 400m)
Jumping events include: Long Jump High Jump Triple Jump Pole Vault
Throwing events Include: Discus Shot put Javelin Hammer Throw

Why you should be interested in track and field? Track and Field is a great way to challenge yourself to see what you can do and test your abilities. Track and Field is also good for your health, if you want to improve your health than you can try it out. Also, track and field can improve what your not so good at. Track and field can also help with also change your fitness level.
