Curriculum Review Process Select committee members Confirm the unifying concepts, essential questions, assessments, align GLEs to our “plan” Review resources and textbooks, looking for resources that match our curriculum goals Accept public comment on curriculum and resources Seek Board approval Purchase resources Map curriculum in Rubicon Provide district inservice(s) to train staff

Our “team”: 53 years of teaching in LKSD; 85 years total teaching experience Masters degrees, NASA trained, Highly qualified, conference presenters, NSTA members, curriculum developers, UAF collaborators..... Experience teaching in other Alaskan school districts and outside teaching experience Are also reading, writing, math, social studies, PE, art, technology, etc trained Bethel and village experience Junior high and/or high school teachers 9 individuals deeply interest in science
