Question Does salt water or lemon juice have any effect on the rate of dehydration of different types of apples?

Hypothesis I predict that the lemon juice will have the effect because the water content of apple is retained with the presence of lemon juice.

Variable Independent Variable-What I have changed on purpose: salt water and lemon juice. Dependent Variable-What I think/hope will change during my investigation: the dehydration of the apples. Controlled Variable-What I have kept the same: the labels, cup,plate,and the knife.

Material Lemon juice Salt water 1 Red apple, 1 green apple, and 1 golden apples Measuring cup Knife Plastic plates Plastic cups Metric ruler

Procedure Take all of the materials out and lay it on the table. cut each apple into four equal slices weigh all the apples slices together
