SIMS Assessment Primary Assessment Tracking Analysis Resource Summary Summer 2017

Analysis Resource Summary Termly Marksheet Add context PP/EAL etc ELG Achieved? Full subject attainment history intervention pupil? EYFS GLD achieved? Key Stage SATS grades Baseline + 3 termly assessments Grade colour coding

Analysis Resource Summary Marksheet Analysis Filter marksheet pupils by pastoral or contextual data such as Registration Groups, Gender, FSM, Intervention and much more Change cohort based on any given point in time Filter marksheet pupils by grades? Sort columns Quick grade distribution on any data column Summary data rows?

Use the Result filter to view data from previous terms Analysis Resource Summary Pastoral Group Analysis Pastoral Group Analysis enables you to compare the performance of each year group or registration group against a single Aspect. It can show the number or percentage of pupil/students in each group, who achieved each possible mark or grade, for the selected Aspect. Rows can contain pastoral year groups, registration groups, teaching sets and even your own user defined groups Use the Result filter to view data from previous terms Filter the grid by pastoral or contextual data such as Registration Groups, Gender, FSM, Intervention and much more

Analysis Resource Summary Contextual Group Analysis Contextual Group Analysis enables you to compare the performance of groups of pupils based on key indicators from SIMS against a single Aspect. It can show the number or percentage of pupil/students in each group, who achieved each possible mark or grade, for the selected Aspect. Rows group children based on defined contextual indicators. Key vulnerability groups are defined or created within SIMS Discover Drill down on any cell to see which pupils are represented Use the Result filter to view data from previous terms

Analysis Resource Summary Aspect Analysis Aspect Analysis enables you to compare the distribution of grades across a number of Aspects. It can show the number or percentage of pupil/students from the selected group, who achieved each possible mark or grade, for each of the selected Aspects. Rows are defined to represent the subject areas of assessment Cumulative On Track + column gives combined 5 + 6 outcome Manually customise your selected cohort to focus in on less formal groups of pupils

Analysis Resource Summary Result Set Analysis Result Set Analysis enables you to study the results stored in a selection of Result Sets. It can show the number or percentage of pupil/students from the selected group, who achieved each possible mark or grade, for the selected Result Set(s). Export you grids to MS Excel for further manipulation or formatting prior to printing Rows are defined to represent the periods of assessment (Result Sets) to be included in analysis

Analysis Resource Summary EYFS <-> KS1 Chance Analysis EYFS <-> KS1 Chance Analysis enables you to compare the result achieved by a given student, for a particular EYFS Aspect, with their result for the corresponding KS1 Aspect. This type of analysis may be particularly useful for monitoring individual and group performance as well as for the target setting processes in your school. Columns represent the statutory KS1 outcomes for the selected subject Rows represent the statutory EYFS outcome for the selected subject The Chance table shows the percentage of pupil/students who achieved a combination of grades in the two selected Aspects

Analysis Resource Summary EYFS <-> TA Term Chance Analysis EYFS <-> TA Term Chance Analysis enables you to compare the result achieved by a given student, for a particular EYFS Aspect, with their result for the corresponding interim TA Aspect. Columns represent the PAT TA outcomes for the selected subject Rows represent the statutory EYFS outcome for the selected subject The Chance table shows the percentage of pupil/students who achieved a combination of grades in the two selected Aspects

Analysis Resource Summary KS1 <-> TA Term Chance Analysis KS1<-> TA Term Chance Analysis enables you to compare the result achieved by a given student, for a particular KS1 Aspect, with their result for the corresponding interim TA Aspect. Columns represent the PAT TA outcomes for the selected subject The Chance table shows the percentage of pupil/students who achieved a combination of grades in the two selected Aspects Rows represent the statutory KS1 outcome for the selected subject Equivalent Chance Analysis Grids for AWL contain new KS1 statutory grades.

Analysis Resource Summary TA Term <-> TA Term Chance Analysis TA Term <-> TA Term Chance Analysis enables you to compare the result achieved by a given student between two specified assessment periods for a particular interim TA Aspect. Columns represent the PAT TA outcomes for the selected subject for the selected comparative assessment period Rows represent the PAT TA outcomes for the selected subject for a selected baseline The Chance table shows the percentage of pupil/students who achieved a combination of grades in the two selected Aspects

Analysis Resource Summary Termly Tracking Grids Termly Tracking Grids support schools in tracking the progress of individuals or groups of pupils on a termly or yearly basis. They are an effective means of comparing the current assessment of each pupil with their previous progress or national expectations. From this, it may be determined where resources can best be targeted within the school. Filter the grid by pastoral or contextual data such as Registration Groups, Gender, FSM, Intervention and much more. Columns represent the PAT TA outcomes for the selected subject Rows represent each of the year group termly assessment periods The grid populates pupils based on their termly achievement history

Analysis Resource Summary EYFS -> TA Term Tracking Grids EYFS -> TA Term Tracking Grids support schools in tracking the progress of individuals or groups of pupils by comparing the latest (or selected term) interim PAT TA attainment against the equivalent EYFS statutory outcome. Change the subject analysis from the Assessment Selector Change the source group of pupils to be included in the grid Rows represent the EYFS Outcome for the selected subject

Analysis Resource Summary Future Developments A range of additional reports, charts and tracking grids are already under construction and will be released as soon as they are completed These include, but are not limited to SIMS Discover Charts SIMS Discover Venn Diagrams Enhanced Individual Reports Closer links to pupil intervention The introduction of SIMS Primary from summer 2018 will require the tracking model to be rebuilt within the new platform. It is anticipated that SIMS Primary will provide valuable enhancements to the ways in which assessment data can be analysed. We are committed to ensuring that the tracker and all associated data is available in the new platform
