HIV Awareness Program Initiatives at SRF Limited, ISBM An Awareness Program on HIV/AIDS was conducted at HR Center, ISBM as a part of BRISC initiative on 28-10-04. The program was anchored by Community Activity Trust. The faculties explained the statistics on AIDS , educated all participants on HIV/AIDS and also about precautionary measures need to be adopted. The session was of one hour duration and totally 165 persons attended the program in six batches. The participants include employees of SRF-ISBM, SRFP, CB R&D, SRF Vidyalaya and Contractors. The program was very interactive between the faculties and participants and every participant was given a booklet containing useful information about AIDS/HIV.

HIV Awareness Sessions at SRF Limited, Manali

SRF Limited, Manali winning the Best HR Award from APAC Excellent contribution by ISBM for initiating and promoting HIV/AIDS prevention program and the motivation of Peer Educators was instrumental in winning the “ Best HR award-2004” by AIDS Prevention and Control Project. Many employees of ISBM were given formal training on AIDS awareness and as Peer Educators they carry the message to the communities they live in. The other initiatives taken by ISBM include taking AIDS awareness message to truck drivers and contract employees. ISBM team also enthusiastically participated in the rally commemorating “World AIDS Day”. Mr. J. Selvakumar (DPPC-MWE Process) ISBM along with Peer educators Mr. Selvam and Mr. Poosamy received the award from Mr. T. T. Ashok, Chairman, Tamil Nadu State Council-CII on December 24, 2004.
