Element #11: United Services Military Apprenticeship Program (USMAP)

The ultimate objective of the National Apprenticeship Standards for the USMAP is to provide registered certification of the training of the individual military service member and to achieve recognition for the military service member equal to his/her civilian counterpart.

USMAP -Provides means of obtaining a DOL Certificate of Apprenticeship -Advantage in getting better civilian jobs -Recognized by US Department of Labor

Requirements: Must meet ALL of the below requirements: -Active duty and Full Time Support (FTS) Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard -Minimum of one year left on current enlistment -High school diploma or GED -Rating/military occupational specialty (NEC) -Trade must be current primary job at your current assigned command, NOT a collateral duty or temporary duty assignment
