Guidelines for Ethical Speaking Your goals are ethically sound Be fully prepared for each speech Be honest in what you say Avoid name-calling and other forms of abusive language

Ethical Listening Be courteous and attentive: sending the feedback to the speaker. Avoid prejudging the speaker: listen first and decide to accept or reject what the speaker says later. Maintain the free and open expression of ideas: it is vital for a democratic society to maintain the free and open expression of ideas.
