About…. The department of Physics is the oldest among the Science departments of the college. The department offers degree course, post graduate course and research programmes. It is a recognized research centre for Physics under the University of Kerala. The department has well equipped labs, a Library and Research rooms. Now the department is selected in level ‘O’ of FIST 2011.
Mission To foster the total development of each student in her uniqueness so that she becomes more fully humane alert to the needs of others, willing and prepare to give others what she has received. To develop the spirit of learning, research, creativity and challenge. To produce self-disciplined and research oriented graduates who are academically prepared. To promote research and subject competency among girl students.
Objectives To develop the students potentials towards the realization of a self-actualized person. To increase employment and placement opportunities for the girl students. To inculcate values of loyalty, honesty, commitment, dedication to service, moral integrity, self-reliance and love of God and country.
