BILC SharP – Sharing Platform - one of the 29 DFSL Moodle based sites/ courses DFSL offers though its LMS Created in 2015 for all BILC members Idea: for everyone to share successfully trialled military language training materials so that other BILC members could benefit from these resources BILC motto - Progress made by one is shared by all DFSL website is hosted by ADELE (Australian Defence Education Learning Environment) . Upgrading from Moodle 2.5 to ver 2.9 One of the 29 Moodle instances/sites/courses is now allocated to BILC SharP project – BILC Resource Sharing platform. This platform was created… …resources. And save their institutions some design, development and piloting time.

Organised into 9 folders: … . So this platform is supposed to serve as the online repository of successfully trialled resources from all participating countries. Apart from avail resources staff can use forum, messages and calendar features avail. All scheduled BILC events are reflected on the calendar. Just a reminder: any staff member from your organisations can gain access to BS

1st Communique explained the purpose of BILC SharP, included the info on how to create an account, POCs details , the info on the types of files we accept and the naming convention used for submitting files. This doc also had a list of BILC POCs responsibilies.

BILC POCs responsibilities Provide DFSL with enrolment details for their staff: full name, country and official/work email address Collate any resources your organisation wishes to share with fellow BILC members Forward those resources to DFSL via email/DropBox/post Let us know if any of your staff leave their job/posting so that we can de-activate their account Disseminate information to your staff if needed Nominated people from your countries, BILC SharP POCs would have to ….

So where are we at? We now have 32 participants from 9 countries enrolled into BILC SharP platform Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Macedonia, Germany, UK, Ukraine, Australia Enrolled members are checking avail info and downloading docs 1st contribution from our colleagues from France 1st contribution just recently

So I wanted to thank the French delegation and Emilie Cleret for being the pioneers and sharing their materials with their fellow BILCers! Your debating tasks are now located under BILC Sharp – Teachign Materials -> English -> Speaking

Where to next? For the platform to be functional/useful – we need your contributions!!! Provide feedback to us on the format, folder structure, usefulness of uploaded materials, etc. So if you are willing to share some materials with your fellow BILCers, please contact us. I have a few copies of the BILC Communiques here for those of you who haven’t received it last year.

Thank you!
