Benefits… Better understanding of the nanoscale (<100 nm) Being surprised--physics changes, electrons tunnel Seeing possibilities and hope Gaining confidence and excitement Hands-on experiences

Broad Themes Ask questions! Be prepared to fail, but persevere. Observe and collect data but be open to different interpretations. Don’t look for “right answer”. Remember the loom. We are not always aware of applications.
