Many thanks for your continued support, Miss Brown. Newsletter Reception Class 9th December 2016 Literacy This week we have read the story of ‘The Jolly Christmas Postman’ by Janet and Allen Ahlberg. We have been learning how to write Christmas cards by learning to spell the tricky word ‘to’. We have also been learning about the importance of addresses and stamps. Well done to everyone for trying very hard in your phonics test. This week we have been reading the story of ‘The Jolly Christmas Postman’ by Janet and Allen Ahlberg. We have really enjoyed learning about Postmen and women. We have especially enjoyed pretending to be The Jolly Postman in the role play corner. We have also been practicing for our Christmas Nativity which is next Wednesday in church. You have all been working really hard to remember all of the songs and actions, well done! Phonics This week we have started learning Phase 3 sounds. We have learnt ‘j’ and ‘v’ this week. Please can you complete ‘j’ and ‘v’ sound page in your home phonics book and please make sure that all your other sounds are up to date. Maths This week we have been learning to recognise, write and order numbers 1-20. Everybody has tried extremely hard, well done! It would be fantastic if you could consolidate these numbers at home with your child. Notices . EYFS and KS1 Christmas Nativity production is next Thursday in church. Please see the main Newsletter for exact times and further information. Many thanks for your continued support, Miss Brown.
