The things that you own are your belongings.

My belongings were spread throughout my bedroom. Please be careful with my belongings in the classroom so that all students can use them.

If you are fleeing from something, you are running away from it.

The cat spent his time fleeing from the dogs. Which of these would you be more likely to see: people fleeing from a fire or from an amusement park?

What are some reasons people might be fleeing from their homeland? Would someone fleeing from a hurricane be able to take all of his or her belongings? Explain.

When you crave something, you want it very much.
