What are “action verbs”? analyzed diagnosed clarified evaluated collected reinforced compared reported conducted resolved critiqued responded detected suggested determined summarized

Let’s write a resume for Maximus: Name: ______________________ Address:_______________________ Email:_______________________ Education: GPA: Job Experience: Skills: Certifications/Awards:

Now: Now that you have a strong understanding of what you need for your individual career, you should have some idea of what type of education and experience needs to go on your resume to get your dream job Investigate into the variety of resumes out there Everybody’s resume will look different – Ms. Murphy has placed several templates in Google Docs, however, you can always customize your resume for your purposes, as long as it still has the essential information on it For example, a teacher’s resume should be straightforward, black and white, and outline their education, experience, and their certification. If you are going into architecture though, there may be more room to have creative borders or diagrams on your resume to actually show your work. If you are going into show business, they typically require a headshot included with or on your resume. When you have investigated the variety of types of resumes, begin crafting your own using the relevant information and action verbs we have discussed.
