CCP Take-a-Way Seven “ If you tell the truth, you don’t need to have a good memory.” – Judge Judy Hint: your communication needs to be honest and up-to-date.

What I have learned through the Certified College Professional Program…

There are some great teachers who close the door to their classroom and do what they want, but I think you send a strange message to the students that way sometimes. Teachers are part of a school community, and a great teacher should be willing to work to make the community a better place.

Understanding that being a “great teacher” is a constant struggle to always improve.

Understanding of the role of a school in a student’s life Understanding of the role of a school in a student’s life. College is more than the sum of the classes the student takes. It’s a time to grow and explore. The best teachers know that they are teachers for much more than the time they are in the physical classroom.

Great teachers not only love their subject, but they love to share that joy with students.

I’ve seen people come in and talk about teaching and talk about how much they love their subject and know about their subject, but they never mention the students.

The CCP program is not about us, it’s not about the teacher The CCP program is not about us, it’s not about the teacher. It’s about the students having access to the best teachers possible.

What are the take-a-ways of the CCP program? Be presentable and professional in my approach Always have a lesson plan, but be flexible as required Be enthusiastic, positive, challenging and motivating Create fun and give that added value to ensure economic survival

Why did I enter the Certified College Professional Program? Nobody’s perfect I’m new here from New Jersey and wanted to know all I could about the Florida Educational System I wanted to become a better teacher
