Tyler Perry’s Success He started a series of letters to himself, which became the basis for the musical I Know I've Been Changed. While the show tackled such tough subjects as child abuse, it also touched on forgiveness, a theme has remained central in many of his works and reflects his deep connection to his Christian faith. After saving up $12,000, Perry debuted the show—which he directed, produced, and starred in—at an Atlanta theater in 1992. The musical's run lasted only one weekend and drew a measly 30 people to see the show. Disappointed yet determined, Perry continued to work odd jobs while reworking the show. He staged the show in several other cities, but success still eluded him.  After so many years of hard work, he finally earned critical acclaim as well as commercial success.

Accomplishments BET Awards Camp Funding Tyler Perry’s House of Payne Perry was awarded two BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards for ‘Diary of a Mad Black Woman – the first in ‘Outstanding Actor in a Theatrical Film’ category and the second in ‘Outstanding Writing for Theatrical Film’ category. BET Awards He funded a camp for 65 children from Philadelphia to visit ‘Walt Disney World’, on July 20, 2009. He calls himself a Christian and is very dedicated to the Black church. Camp Funding ♚♚♚♚ I rated this 4 crowns because it’s nice that he did this for them but they didn’t need to go to Disney World. Tyler Perry’s House Of Payne I rated this 4 crowns because it’s a popular show but its just a show.

My opinions His story can be inspirational because it shows how he never gave up even through all of the rough times he went through and constantly rewrote his musical until he became a huge success. He is also very funny and the way he devotes himself to his characters is great.
