What is the Phallic stage?

These come from the ego when it tries to resolve anxiety caused by id-superego conflict.

What are defense mechanisms?

Freud’s part of the personality that stems from his belief in evolution and animal instincts.

What is the id?

A rule for the ego; ego will try to satisfy id if it finds socially acceptable methods.

What is the reality principle?

According to Freud, the mind is like an iceberg and these are the parts that are partially above water (conscious).

What are ego and superego?

This is the stage Jessica is in if she is not able to find a lasting relationship or even a significant friendship and is feeling like she may end up alone.

What is intimacy v. isolation?

Jessica is having math trouble in grade school and is starting to lack confidence.

What is industry v. inferiority?
