Hello!! Hi! Welcome to our town, Akhisar. We want to Show this town and its festivals, schools, famous things, location and different things else. Now, let’s begin!

Sports in Akhisar You can do a lot of sports here, but I want to say some of that: Football; Akhisar have got football team. You can also join to football club for be a footballer!

Sports in Akhisar Cycling; Sometimes, schools can make cycling tours for students. This tour called ‘My Ülkü’ You can join like in this photograph.

Sports in Akhisar Running; There are running tours too. You can run with us in autumn. If you join this tour, you will be faster. Because it is a competition too!

Sports in Akhisar Taekwondo; We have taekwondo courses or clubs.You can defend yourself with taekwondo.

Akhisar and Festivals There are 2 festivals belong Akhisar: Çağlak Festival, Shopping Festival.

Akhisar and Festivals And now, I am explain these two festivals. (Akhisar celebrate other special or national days too, but what I said, they are belong Akhisar.)

1.)Çağlak Festival This festival about Şeyh İsa which person lived in 15. ages. He was famous Saint in Anatolia. His father was İlyas, his mother was İnci. Actually, his name was Şeyh İsa Mecdüddin Akhisari.

1.)Çağlak Festival He was born in 1400’s half. He died in 1530. His tomb is in a mosque. This mosque called ‘Şeyh İsa’.

1.)Çağlak Festival Çağlak Festival is like Nawruz and Hıdrellez. They are alike. In Çağlak, we play games, do sports, dance traditional folk dances and do cultural activities. Also we eat and drink how we wish until evening.

1.)Çağlak Festival We mustn’t forget concerts! Yes, from seven to seventy come concerts and celebrities sing songs. We celebrate Çağlak Festival in May every year.

2.)Shopping Festival Shopping Festival is about music, shopping, fun and sales! So woman feel like in Paradise  In Shopping Festival, tradesman make sales. So they can have a lot of customer.

2.)Shopping Festival Costumers can buy clothes, earrings, necklaces, rings, shous, bags, drinks and foods!

Akhisar’s History Akhisar is very old town. In B.C. 15. ages, Lydians administer to Akhisar.After 1300 years,Akhisar destroyed by an earthquake.This town’s name was Thatirin. But Helen Rums called it in different names like Polonya, Ahipko, Semiramis.

Akhisar’s History Hittite, Akads, Lydians, Romans, Byzantines, Saruhans, Ottomans were be administrator this town. Byzantine Emperor Konstantin, built a White castle between current hospital and station. So he made ‘Aspro Kastro’ to this town’s name. Aspro means white, Kastro means fort. In 1307, Turks administer and said ‘Akhisar’ to this town.

Thyatira Thyatira is our historical place. Thyatira was Lydian’s, Pergamon Kingdom’s site. Thyatira was built by Romans, and it is columnar construction.

Thyatira People thinks Amazon folk built this site. In 547 B.C. Lydia, pass sovereignty of Pers Strab. So Thyatira be Seleukos Kingdom’s town between 281-190 B.C.
