Thneed Advertising: Techniques of Persuasion Read Across America 4th grade lesson The Lorax Ppt created by Rachel Butler, 2016

Advertising the act or practice of calling public attention to one's product, service, need, etc., especially by paid announcements in newspapers and magazines, over radio or television, on billboards, etc.: Definition courtesy of http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/advertising

Focus on the following characteristics to advertise your Thneed effectively. You want people to buy it, right? Is it useful? What do you do with a Thneed? Is it attractive? Why would someone want to be seen wearing a Thneed? How does it make a person think of himself/herself? Is it important for self- confidence? Is it a good deal? Is it a good investment? Why pay a certain amount of money for it? Why else might a Thneed be important for a consumer? What else might help persuade consumers to purchase a Thneed?
