Introduction Paragraph This story is all about Mountain Gorillas. For starters, I’ll just tell you some facts about M.G.’s. They can smile and laugh just like humans and they get their water from the food they eat! Also, they don’t have hair on their palms, faces, or soles of their feet and they live up to 35 years in the wild. And female‘s usually give birth to one at a time. They call adult M.G.’s silverbacks and the way you can tell the difference between M.G.’s and N.G.’s (normal gorillas) is that M.G.’s have longer and darker hair.

A Mountain Gorilla Watch Closely…. Really closely

A X-ray of a Mountain Gorilla This is the same mountain gorilla but in a skeleton. I read about it in a story on Google. I would give you the link, but unfortunately, the link is not working.

A Mountain Gorilla family. This is a family of mountain gorillas. It is a mother, a father, and a child.

Two mountain gorillas. I personally think they are both scared and hiding from the camera man.

Habitat Normal Gorillas live in West & Central Africa. But Mountain gorillas live in the mountains of Northern Kivi. It can live in places were the temperatures drop under 0 degrees C (32 degrees F).

Physical Description Adults males have more pronounced bony crests on the top and back of their sculls. Upright, males reach 1.73 m (5 ft 8 in) in height, with an arm span of 2.3 m (7 ft 7 in) and in weigh 155 kg (340 lbs). The tallest silverback recorded was an 1.94 m (6 ft 4 in) individual who was shot in 1938. The heaviest was 266 kg (590 lbs.). individual who was also shot. 

Diet They eat leaves ,shoots, and stems of 142 other plant species. Flowers and berries (if any in mountains) Pretty much whatever plant they can find on the mountains because there is not very much food on the mountains. Also, Mountain gorillas are endangered.
