Stonehenge By Jacob G.

Background knowledge Stonehenge is in England No one knows when the stones were formed. Are built in 3000 B.C Thousand pound stones that people were not able to move around in the 1400s

Theory one People say that construction began on Stonehenge 2,000 years before Celts. Years later the Romans arrived. People believe the Neolithic peoples of British Isles started to build 5,000 years ago.

Theory 2 The Merlin Theory Around the 12th century The blue stones that was from Africa were brought to Ireland, to form the Giant's Circle due to their healing needs. However, Aurelius Ambrosius, King of the Britons, wanted the stones to be transported to England, to build a big building for the war dead. When his troops failed to transport the huge stones, Merlin the wizard used his powers to transport the huge stones to England, some that weighed around 50 tons!

Theory 3 Stonehenge is a circular arrangement of stones. Stonehenge could have been used to demonstrate the movements of the moon. To see the difference of the moon and sun!

My theory I think that the Romans along time ago made Stonehenge a cemetery! The Romans built the cemetery for when the leader died and then they used it for everyone else who died after the leader died! Stonehenge was a temple with unique healing powers for the dead of the Romans.
