Presentation transcript:

Welcome to October's meeting There are some extremely important dates/information to be aware of

Car magnets What is their purpose? How much will they be sold for? To raise funds for Beta Club and spread our name throughout the community How much will they be sold for? $7 per magnet Please reach the goal of selling about three each. These are not being sold to order. We have them, you need to sign up to let us know how many magnets you are signing out. Once signed out, you are responsible to sell them and return the unsold ones. You are responsible for the payment of magnets if you lose or misplace them.

Blankets and canned food At our previous meeting, we brought up that we were going to be doing a community service project involving canned food and blankets. We will be collecting from October 23 till November 10. Only new blankets will be expectable

Community Service Project Blanket/Canned Soup drive Teachers will be able to help us collect blankets and canned soup for children in the community that are not able to afford warm clothes Please only accept NEW blankets

national beta convention (Please contact Mrs. H via email) Individual Competitions -Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Agriculture, Spanish, Creative Writing, Speech, Poetry, Visual Arts, Onsite Art Team Competitions -Quiz Bowl, Advertising Design, Robotics Club Competitions Banner, Scrapbook, Technology, Character Skit, Spotlight on Service, Living Literature, Talent Special or Group.

Which activity do you think is realistic for a community service based organization to be doing: cleaning up horse poo or cleaning up after others in order to help the cleanliness of our town?

Other service projects REMINDER: We do not sponsor any service projects that would involve handling feces or any other questionable activities along the lines. If you are confused about why we have had to dedicate two slides to this, it is because there are rumors about service projects, activities, dates, etc. IF YOU DON’T HEAR AN ACTIVITY OR PROJECT ANNOUNCED BY A BETA OFFICER OR MRS. HOSTETLER, DO NOT BELIEVE IT UNTIL PERSUING VALIDATION FROM SOMEONE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED.

Beta tshirt Please hand in any money if you wish to order a Beta t-shirt. These are available online, so if credit or debit card is easier, you are more than welcome to order online. However, there will not be a contribution to our Beta Club

Other We want to now open the floor for anyone that has a contribution of a fundraiser idea, service project, or just something that they think Aiken High Beta needs, please raise your hand. We encourage and strive to make every individual in this organizations voice heard. If you ever have a suggestion or a question, don't be shy and talk!
