A GOOD WORKMAN DOES GOOD WORKS

We can only be pleasing to God if we are doing good works. Ephesians 2:10 10. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. We can only be pleasing to God if we are doing good works. True or False

In order to be pleasing to God we must be diligent in 2 Timothy 2:15 15. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. Diligent - def : (Greek: to use diligence, speed) English: constant in effort to accomplish something; done or pursued with persevering attention; painstaking In order to be pleasing to God we must be diligent in doing good works. True or False

If you are diligent in doing good works it will be Matthew 5:16 16. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” If you are diligent in doing good works it will be obvious to those around you. True or False

Greeting one another is a good work. Romans 16:16 16. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you. Greeting one another is a good work. True or False

Encouraging one another is a good work. Hebrews 3:13 13. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Encouraging one another is a good work. True or False

Building up one another is a good work. Romans 14:19 19. So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. Building up one another is a good work. True or False

Confessing to one another and praying for one another James 5:16 16. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. Confessing to one another and praying for one another is a good work. True or False

Comforting one another when someone has passed away is a good work. I Thessalonians 4:15-18 15. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18. Therefore comfort one another with these words. Comforting one another when someone has passed away is a good work. True or False

Stimulating one another to love and good deeds Hebrews 10:24 24. and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds Stimulating one another to love and good deeds is a good work. True or False

Admonishing (instructing) one another is a good work. Romans 15:14 14. And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish (instruct, kjv) one another. Admonishing (instructing) one another is a good work. True or False

15. Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, Ephesians 5:15-21 15. Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16. making the most of your time, because the days are evil. 17. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19. speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20. always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; 21. and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ. Singing to one another is a good work. True or False Giving thanks in Jesus name is a good work. Being subject to one another is a good work.

Galatians 6:10 10. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Definition: opportunity (Kairos) due measure a measure of time, a larger or smaller portion of time, hence: a fixed and definite time, the time when things are brought to crisis, the decisive epoch waited for opportune or seasonable time the right time a limited period of time to what time brings, the state of the times, the things and events of time Definition: especially: most of all When you have the opportunity to do good and chose not to, it is a sin. True or False

Assembling with the saints is an opportunity to do good works like: Greeting one another, Encouraging one another, Building up one another, Praying for one another, Comforting one another, Stimulating one another to love and good works, Admonishing one another Singing and teaching one another. It is a good thing to assemble with the saints. True or False

If it is within your power to assemble with the saints and James 4:17 17. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. If it is within your power to assemble with the saints and you choose not to, it is a sin. True or False

Whether I participate in the assemblies of the saints or not Colossians 3:17 17. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Whether I participate in the assemblies of the saints or not I must do that by the authority of Jesus. True or False

If my absence from the assembly of the saints Romans 14:23 23. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin. If my absence from the assembly of the saints is not based on what the word of God says, it is a sin. True or False

I Corinthians 8:10-13 10. For if someone sees you, who have knowledge, dining in an idol's temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be strengthened to eat things sacrificed to idols? 11. For through your knowledge he who is weak is ruined, the brother for whose sake Christ died. 12. And so, by sinning against the brethren and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. 13. Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause my brother to stumble.

Luke 17:1-2 1. He said to His disciples, "It is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come! 2. "It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.

6. Train up a child in the way he should go, Proverbs 22:6 6. Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it. When I habitually choose to absent myself from the assembly of the saints I am training my child in the way he should go. True or False

Hebrews 10: 23-25 23. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24. and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25. not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. To NOT forsake assembling together is a command, therefore forsaking the assembling is a sin. True or False

will lose his soul for eternity. Hebrews 10:26-27 26. For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27. but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. A Christian who knows the importance God has placed on assembling together and continues to refuse to assemble so as to take advantage of the opportunity to do all of the good works that are inherent in assembling, will lose his soul for eternity. True or False
