Fats Provide 37kg of energy per gram Can be stored for subsequent use There are 3 types of different fats Help people develop their brain Helps body make Hormones and function For examples: Fries, burgers, doughnuts, ice creams

Minerals Inorganic substances Example of main minerals, Iron, Sodium, etc. Many function- stronger bones nerve impulse Come from- vegetables, table salt, and nut kinds Need at lease 100g a day Help body hormones function Appropriate amount or else may lead to illness

Carbohydrates Contain Carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen Oxygen atom is half of hydrogen Ex) bread, fruits, and grains Simple Carbohydrates also called simple sugar Complex Carbohydrates also called starches Make glucose that helps your body function Also found in foods made of sugar

Protein Made of 20compounds called amino acids Non-amino acids can be made from body Foods with protein Meat, poultry, fish and eggs Oily fish is a good source of protein Goes against heart attacks Has lots of amino acids

Fiber(Fiber) Unable to be digested Carbohydrates found in walls of plant cells Two types- Soluble and Insoluble Soluble fiber decrease blood cholesterol level Found in fruits, vegetables, grains and beans Most food contain 50-75% soluble and 25-30% insoluble 12-18 grams of fiber everyday

Water Helps humans digest The main source of energy Absolutely no calories One ounce of water per two pound water weight Some water have 1mg of sodium 75% of muscle = water Need 8(2.5L) glasses of water everyday
