Young adults had significantly lower thresholds than older adults (p < .001). There were no significant differences as an effect of stimulation site (RU = right upper, LU = left upper, RL = right lower, LL = left lower). Young women had significantly lower thresholds than young men (p < .05), but acuity of older men and women did not differ significantly as an effect of gender.
