The pair of jeans 1 is the cheapest. Which pair of jeans has a very high price? Which ones are in the extremes? How many pairs of jeans are we comparing? The jacket number 1 is the biggest. How many jackets are we comparing? Are all of the jackets´ pictures the same? Which one is very big comparing to the others? The sweater from French Connection is the most feminine. Are all of the sweaters the same style? How many sweaters are we comparing? Which sweater is a more feminine than the others?

Superlatives We use the superlative to compare one person, thing, action, event or group with another person group, etc. We use the superlative to compare somebody/ something with the whole group that he/ she/ it belongs to. We compare 3 or more things.

Adjective/ adverb -est In (singular noun) The Of (plural noun) most Adjective/ adverb

Adjective Superlative Cold The coldest Hot The hottest Pretty The prettiest Beautiful The most beautiful Good The best Bad The worst when the word ends in consonant vowel consonant, it doubles the consonant. When the adjective ends in y, it adds –iest.
