Industrial Revolution Uganda compared to the industrial Revolution
What is Child Labor? Child labor is something that puts children in a dangerous environment and stops children from getting the education they need. Children are usually forced into working because their families can’t afford anything Children start working at a young age, sometimes they could start working at the age of 5. At that age no child should even know how to do a adults job. They shouldn't be forced into work and get their education taken away just because their family can’t afford a lot. At a young age a child should be learning how to add and subtract numbers or be learning how to finger paint, not risking their lives every day to just get paid a poor amount of money that doesn’t give them enough to live off of.
Uganda Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. The capital of Uganda is Kamoala Their president is Yoweri Museveni Uganda has a estimated population of 41,322,768.
Child soldiers Child soldiers are little kids under the age of 18 that get put into an army and are used as fighters, cooks, suicide bombers, human shields, messengers, spies, or for sexual purposes. Military Organizations recruit children because they are easier to manipulate than adults.
Uganda Many orphaned children are especially targeted. Minimum age to work is 14 years old.
Industrial Revolution If you were a child soldier in a conflict. You had to kill, if not they would have killed you. So practically it was kill or be killed. Children died before they even lived, they were traumatized. After the children would come back they could barley be around other children. They needed therapists to help but they barley had any back then. Little girls that were stolen from their families were recruited mostly for sexual reasons.
How to help You could donate to many foundations that will give money to a child and their families. You could adopt a child that’s in need of a safe place You cold also create awareness in you community.
