Introduction Algebra is a branch of mathematics in which symbols, usually letters of the alphabet, represent numbers or members of a specified set and are used to represent quantities and to express general relationships that hold for all members of the set Credits: www.dictionary.com

Distributive Property Given a set S and two binary operations* and + on S, we say that * is left-distributive over + if, given any elements x, y, and z of S, x * (y + z) = (x * y) + (x * z); * is right-distributive over + if, given any elements x, y, and z of S: (y + z) * x = (y * x) + (z * x); * is distributive over + if it is both left- and right-distributive.
