The Beginning of a Way of Work Contacted 5 school boards to thank them for participating last year and to let them know we would like to promote Sparks through their KinderStart program again this year Contacted each school to obtain the numbers of girls in KinderStart Program and to confirm Principal’s name 160 schools including 5 French speaking schools participated Included in envelope: Welcome to Sparks letter, colouring page, bookmark 3300 pink envelopes were prepared for schools throughout the province Included in envelope to Principal: letter to Principal, 3 – 6 guiding thank you bookmarks 2693 girls registered in KinderStart in Schools

Membership Growth Coordinator, Newfoundland and Labrador Council The Newfoundland and Labrador Council is seeking an energetic and inspired individual to bring Guiding to more girls and women in Newfoundland and Labrador communities. Our new Membership Growth Coordinator will be a self-starter and team player, who will bring innovation and commitment to this work. Responsibilities: Research and understand the opportunities for GGC growth in Newfoundland and Labrador Develop and implement a plan, best suited to local communities, to welcome new girls and women into GGC membership Utilize current national resources and events to recruit new members Foster strategic relationships with community leaders and potential partners which will lead to membership growth opportunities Identify and pursue financial and other resources, within communities and with sponsors, to support membership growth Work with other GGC staff and current Members to complete membership registration processes Contribute to and support overall services of the Girl Guide of Canada-Guides du Canada NL Council
