CENTRAL ISLINGTON: AN ARCHITECTURAL WALK The aim of the walk is to learn about the various styles of architecture that have been employed in the development of the streets of central Islington Beginning at The Angel, the walks takes us along Islington High Street and Upper Street as far as Cross Street. Cross Street takes us to Essex Road, at which point we turn left as far as New North Road, returning along Essex Road, finishing at Islington Green The walk is not intended to be comprehensive in nature, although it does include a number of significant buildings protected by statutory listing
