The Campaign for a Legislated Minimum Wage and the Foreign Domestic Workers

Position of the Asian Migrants’ Coordinating Body (AMCB) HK$30 per hour Legislated Minimum Wage Universal application of the Legislated Minimum Wage Minimum Wage should be legislated

Consultations with member organizations Leaders’ Meeting Second Filipino Women Migrant Worker’s Summit

The 2nd Filipino Women Migrant Workers’ Summit Gathered more than 400 delegates from 110 organizations of Filipino migrant workers to discuss issues and draft a common platform of actions

Why do we join the campaign? Like other workers, foreign domestic workers have been subjected to wage cuts Our wage is always subject to review and is insecure The fight for a legislated minimum wage is a fight of ALL worker We join the campaign in the context of our continuing fight for wage increase and abolition of the levy

What do we want? Aside from a legislated minimum wage, foreign domestic workers demand the HK government to: Maximum of eight (8) working hours Abolish mandatory live-in arrangement Retain housing, air ticket, travel allowance and other benefits that are of one’s responsibility in hiring migrant workers

Local and migrant workers in Hong Kong, unite and fight for our rights and wellbeing!
