Course Description Applied Calculus is an introductory, non-AP math course covering the fundamental concepts of Calculus with applications in business, economics, and sciences. Topics include differentiation and integration of various functions, with emphasis on real-world applications.

Attendance Policy In Applied Calculus, as in all math classes, it is important to be in class every day. If students have an excused absence for “all day,” they will be given the same amount of days to make up your work. If students have been on campus for any part of the day then they are responsible for the missed work when they return. No work is accepted for unexcused absences and no extra time is given. Assignments are on Haiku page.

Late Work Students may turn in late work for partial credit. Late work will be accepted for up to 3/5 credit on any assignment turned in during the quarter in which it was assigned.

Grading Policy Quizzes: 35% Tests: 30% Homework/Classwork: 20% Students receive grades according to the semester points earned, breakdown as follows: Quizzes: 35% Tests: 30% Homework/Classwork: 20% Final Exam: 15%

Grading Scale Grades will be assigned to the overall percent as follows: A: 100% - 85% B: 84% - 72% C: 71% - 63% D: 62% - 50% F: below 50%
