LEARNING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

FACTS ABOUT ENGLISH the most commonly used language for communication ‘ lingua franca’ about 2 billion people in the world speak it today 90% of websites in English 80% of data stored on computers in English 40% of internet users communicate in English

REASONS TO LEARN ENGLISH: Professional  language of international business - career and financial benefits Personal - sense of fulfilment and appreciation of other cultures Communication - building relationships with people and communication with foreigners Education - acces to scholarships, internships and knowledge sharing - globally recognized English Exams Travel

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVING ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS - reading (books, magazines, business-related material....) - listening to and watching business-oriented programs and videos - speaking to foreigners - writing emails, texting in English etc. - googling in English - practising
