Tsunamis News Flash! Your task: Investigate the impact of the recent Japanese tsunami in March 2011. Find out the causes and the consequences of this devastating natural disaster. Write a script for a 3 minute headline report on Sky News. You need to include: The names of the plate boundaries on which Japan sits. How the plate boundaries work and how they caused the tsunami What were the short-term effects of the tsunami on the people and environment in Japan What are the long term effects of the tsunami on Japan? A story from the tsunami that will catch the imagination of the people in the UK. Then, create two headlines to scroll along the TV screens during your broadcast, one for the people of Japan who are looking out at the rest of the World and looking to have their story heard. Followed by a second headline from the rest of the World looking in on Japan and watching the disaster unfold. Good Luck 
