Customer Requirements/Product Selection Target Audience Age Range 15+ Mostly geared towards boys Product Selection Adolescent-friendly version of Skeet game Involves activity with creative way to launch anything
Conceptual Design Initial project design included launching device to shoot a floating object. Some project ideas included: An air powered cannon that can launch items such as rockets or paratroopers. A launcher capable of hitting desired targets on a target board.
Details about actual design What we did before creating the prototype: Researched potential pieces to use Created a sketch of the toy Gathered all materials for each portion of toy
ACTUAL DESIGN Created a launcher that shoots small objects as the target, like paper balls and small foam balls. The launcher uses a force from the air compressed tank. Launcher has range of 30-200 psi Created a hand held launching device that shoots the target using air compression. Hand held has range of 10-50 psi

Customer feedback and results Asked relatives relating to the design in customer age range Carmelo's brother, age 16, enjoyed the design and game.
Cost and Time estimates Prototype cost us $28.75 for materials Estimated design time for one prototype: 40 man-hours Material cost for 1000 units: $30,000 Retail Price: $40
Summary and Conclusions Overall we believe the toy would be successful in attracting older teenagers. Design could be modified for a younger age using bike pump instead of air compression.
