With the Aylmerton Field Study Centre Year 6 Visit to North Norfolk With the Aylmerton Field Study Centre

Why Aylmerton? Far enough away to be an ‘adventure’ but close enough to come home if there were a serious problem. Experienced, knowledgeable, well qualified instructors who lead activities.

The Field Study Centre A comfortable place to stay, where soggy clothing and children can be dried out, well fed and given a good night’s sleep – ensuring they get the most out of a very busy week! Children are organised in small dormitories of approximately six or some may be in a larger annex dormitory of 12. An adult is always nearby.

The cost includes: All food – cooked breakfast, packed lunch, hot dinner, bed time drink… Accommodation – comfortable and warm, with some drying facilities for a wet week! Activities and entrance fees – children are kept very busy all day as well as in the evening. Transport there and back, and transport whilst away, to and from different sites. Specialist instructors

Look, find and talk about plants and creatures as we walk and explore a variety of habitats.

Discover how our coast is being changed by nature and man.

Safety always comes first…… Risk assessments are carried out by AFSC staff and teacher leading the visit Mobile phones and/or radios are always carried by staff First Aid kits are always carried Regular (hourly if necessary) weather checks
