Finding the Ideal job Look at the cartoon in page 1 and think about the following questions: What is the young man doing? What kind of work is he thinking about? What do you think is the ideal job (the best job) for the young man in the illustration?

Finding the Ideal Job Background information: This unit is about searching for the best job which suits a person’s interest and skills. The background page gives a brief introduction about the different opinions concerning work and job satisfaction. The background page (p.2) tries to gather answers related to your opinions about work and your ideal job; whether you like to work indoors or outdoors; which is more important for you: money or work enjoyment; whether you prefer to work alone or with people and your preference as to the place of work: in an office or from home.

Finding the Ideal Job Vocabulary for Comprehension: Career: the kind of work a person does; usually after learning how and usually for a long time. Employment: work someone pays you for.
