Deltas with respect to Double Star FM specification - DWP The modified Cluster DWP unit for EM pre-integration conforms to Double Star specification only in respect of the PDMS electrical interfaces, command and telemetry formats. The PEACE interface connector differs, although an adapter or compatible harness can be provided. The analog interface to MWF (J08) is not present, although a dummy connector is fitted and this data is simulated in the telemetry. Electrical test program The complete STAFF-DWP experiment for EM pre-integration has been tested prior to delivery using the simulator of the Cluster WEC testbed. Electrical interfaces to PDMS and PPD have been tested following the procedure defined by Roland Nord (based on the Cluster WEC integration procedure). Control file definition status - 2 Control files are provided for IST, AFT, SFT and IEL tests, with separate versions of each for nominal and redundant interfaces (8 total). IST and AFT are the same except that AFT does not pause unless an error occurs. SFT and IEL are a reduced version of the same test. Interface verification test Electrical interface measurements performed on 25/26 July 2002. Results sent to CSSAR on 6 August, and included in ADP. DWP conforms to EID-A specification. PWR conforms to EID-A specification except for minor non-conformance in grounding of synchro shield - no consequence for pre-integration. EGSE for pre-integration STAFF-DWP will require two network connections, one each for CETP and Sheffield. PARADISP software has been received from China, installed on DWP EGSE computer and verified using bench test data. Outlook to FM status and schedule All flight units except for DWP and harnesses are available now. A DWP EM, fully compliant with Double Star specification is under development. Mechanical enclosure is being manufactured. Electronics design has been completed since January, but waiting for funding before manufacture starts. Software is complete except for driver for new interface (and installed in Cluster DWP EM for pre-integration).
