Presentation transcript:

* 3 steps to prepare your igc students for spring 2016 graduation Igc EOC coding* * 3 steps to prepare your igc students for spring 2016 graduation

1. Review the AAR Ensure that students have completed the following: All Required Coursework Required Tutoring Hours A Project (for EOC-related course) IGC Committee Recommendation for graduation

2. Complete a grade & Credit evaluation form Complete a Grade and Credit Evaluation form indicating both semesters of the EOC-related exam not passed In the Special Explanations code column, indicate a “5” Forward the grade and credit evaluation form to the data controller for entry Review the AAR to ensure proper coding of the EOC exam not passed (“IGC Waived”) Add the student to the IGC Certified graduation list

3. Make corrections! If you have already coded your students, be prepared to make corrections to the AAR if the student passes the exam. It has been confirmed with the Evaluation and Assessment Department that the date will override the “IGC Waived” indication if the student passes the exam. However, the code must still be removed from the student's record. In this case, please use the same Grade and Credit Evaluation form to request that the “5” code be removed from the AAR for the EOC exam that has been passed (see example).

Special reminders! As you prepare for graduation, Please remember to submit the following to student records 3 days before graduation: 1) Regular Certified List (3 days before graduation) 2) IGC Certified List (3 days before graduation) – only students who are graduating under IGC should be added to this list 3) Scooter's Law List – students who receive special education services (Senate Bill 673) who will participate in the graduation ceremony and receive a Certificate of Attendance, but will officially graduate at a later date. Keep in mind, students may only participate in one graduation ceremony.
