Get a Little Help from Quotes

Why Incorporate Quotes? Using quotes will support your opinion or your thesis. Quotes can provide “proof” of what you are writing. Quotes show that you know and understand the material.

How to Incorporate Quotes Make sure you properly PUNCTUATE and CITE. Do not just throw a quote in randomly. Talk a bit about your point, add a relevant quote, then talk about that quote. Avoid quotes about plot detail. Choose quotes that can be analyzed and “dug into.”
