Uganda Investigated WEBQUEST

Introduction 1 Introduction      Do you know what boys and girls who live in Africa eat for lunch?  What are their schools like?  How are their homes different than our homes?  This WebQuest will help you learn about what life is like on the continent of Africa.  You will be a "cyber-guest" in the home of a family that lives in Uganda and will follow the day with a nine-year-old girl named Grace.

INTRODUCTION 2 In this Webquest you will compare and contrast the life and culture of Wales with that of Uganda. You will also learn about our two link schools in Uganda

PROCESS Work in a group to complete the webquest You will have approximately 10 hours to complete the tasks. You will not be able to individually complete each task. Share them out. Make sure you divide the tasks out so they are completed successfully ( Horses for courses)

TASKS Task one You are going to visit Uganda through Cyber Space. You must all complete the starter activities before attempting the other tasks. Starter Activity Main Session Plenary

Task Two Research what life is like in Uganda compare it with life in Wales About Uganda Present your findings in an interesting way And present it to your class.

Task Three Compare and contrast a day in the life of one of your group with that of Grace. Use Grace’s questions to guide your responses. Present your work in an interesting way to illustrate the similarities and differences Grace’s Day

Task four Read the traditional Ugandan stories on the link below. Traditional Stories Identify the main themes and structures to the stories and write one following the same systems and pattern. Present your story using a medium of your choice and present it to your class.
