GRANDPARENTS' LIFE

Mr.Özdemir I grew up in Erzurum. I started to school over sixty years ago when I was five. We used to wear a school uniform-a white shirt, a cap,a jacket and grey trousers. I used to walk about six kilometres to school and back home every day. We used to eat healthy food. We didn’t use to eat frozen food,but now we eat frozen food and food from tins. Mr.Özdemir

I live in a big city now but we used to live in the country when I was a child. We used to grow vegetables but now we buy our vegetables from a greengrocer. My mother used to make bread yoghurt and cheese. We didn’t used to eat frozen food or food from tins when I was young. Fresh food tasted a lot better them. Mr. Kaya

I come from a very rich family. As ladies, we always used to be careful with our manners. We always used to wear elegant clothes but they were very uncomfortable. Women today wear comfortable clothes. In those days, girls didn’t use to wear shorts and pant; they used to wear dresses. Mrs. Demir

I used to live in a village when I was a child. I didn’t used to sleep until noon. I used to get up at 5 o’clock. I and my mother used to clean the house. We didn’t have a washing machine. We used to wash all the clothes by hand.We didn’t use to eat frozen food.We used to eat fresh food and vegetables.We didn’t have a television.We didn’t used to watch tv but we used to play games with my sisters and brothers.
