Objective At the end of this lesson, students will be able to analyze the social/cultural and economic characteristics of Native American societies in the pre 1607 period by describing each society

Warm-up Identify the nation that first established colonies in the Western Hemisphere. Identify other European nations that established colonies in the Western Hemisphere. Describe the locations of each nation’s colonies.

Guided Practice Students will work individually to research one pre-Columbian Native American Society to research online. Students will attempt to answer the following for their Native American Society 1. What were the political, social, and economic characteristics of Native American Societies in the pre-1607 period? 2. How was each Native American society impacted by its geographical environment?
