Founded 30 years ago in 1976 LAPP LAPP (Laboratoire d’Annecy-le-Vieux de Physique des Particules) is a CNRS laboratory with about 60 physicists and 80 engineers and technicians doing research in particle physics and astrophysics working within large international collaborations and coordinated by IN2P3 Major assets: Near CERN Collaborations with the theory department LAPTH

LAPP scientific program Discover and study Higgs boson ATLAS (LHC), LHCb (LHC), ILC Discover space-time extra dimensions ATLAS (LHC), Positronium Discover and study Dark Matter ATLAS (LHC), AMS (ISS), HESS (Namibia), ILC Confirm the origin of matter-antimatter asymetry BaBar(SLAC), LHCb (LHC) Confirm neutrino oscillations, measure Q13 OPERA (CERN-Gran Sasso) Discover gravitational waves VIRGO (Pise)

LAPP work related to future accelerators LAViSta EUROTeV, ATF2, vibration stabilization, ILC, CLIC Detector Micromegas chambers for Had clorimeter CTF3 Front-end electronics for BPM
