BALD EAGLE BY:AARON

ANATOMY OF AN EAGLE An eagle can be 3 feet tall. A full grown eagle can spread its wings 6.5 feet long. An eagle uses its beak to tear food. An eagle’s mouth is big enough to swallow big chunks of food.

HABITAT OF AN EAGLE An eagle makes homes in the rainforest. An eagle does not hibernate in the winter. Some eagles live in the tropical rain forest. The Bald Eagle lives only in North America. An eagle does migrate.

Life cycle of an eagle Newborn eagles are covered in down. Eaglets grow fast. An eagle may live to be over 20 years old. The mother eagle feeds its babies 8 times a day. When the eaglets are 10 or 12 weeks old they are as big as their parents.

INTERESTING FACTS OF AN EAGLE An eagle’s favorite food is fish. An eagle is the best known bird today. Today there are more than 70,000 eagles. Eagles are our national bird of the USA.
