in all the land of Egypt, there was bread.” “When the seven years of plenty which had been in the land came to an end, and the seven years of famine began to come just as Joseph had said, then there was famine in all the lands, but in all the land of Egypt, there was bread.” Vs. 53-54

“God is sovereign. He is free and able to do all that He wills; He reigns over all creation and His will is the final cause of all things.” Allister McGrath

Despite appearances to the contrary, God maintains absolute sovereign control over all things at all times.

A sovereign God controls the destinies of nations for His purposes and His purposes include the protection and provision for His people

Like Joseph, God is with us and wants to use us in His sovereign and divine plan to preserve life

Like Joseph, we must steward well the abundance of our current condition in order to establish reserves and provisions for future needs

Like Joseph, faithful servants fulfill their role in God’s sovereign plans by utilizing His blessings for His glory and for the forward progress of His kingdom

What will your legacy be? Are your trusting in God’s sovereignty to sustain you? What is your “Nile River” security? Will you receive & act on God’s word? Response
